Manchester Residents Association (MRA) is the tenant federation that represents and acts on behalf of tenant and resident groups in Manchester.  MRA provides information, advice and practical support to groups and seeks to promote tenant involvement in all areas, particularly where tenant and resident associations do not exist and within ethnic minority communities.

As well as providing a citywide structure for consultation, MRA seeks to forge links locally and nationally with other voluntary organisations and lobbies for legislative and other changes.

MRA’s constitution shows clearly defined aims, which indicate an ambition to develop and represent tenant groups in Manchester and a commitment to work in partnership with the City Council.

Consultation

Recently MRA have held numerous conferences for tenants on various topics, such as Housing Investment Options  and consulting with BME Communities.  MRA has also been instrumental in developing a City Centre resident network and is working with officers and representatives of other authorities to set up regional forums and federations.
