by Manchester's Supporting People Team, and was made by people who use supported
housing services in the city. The package is aimed not just at those who
work in the sector, but also those who receive support. Training was held
in August 2005 to introduce the CLG National Training Package on Service User
Involvement. This event was held to share the training package, explain the
Manchester view, raise awareness of consultation and involvement, and share
best practice models of practice. Topics include Local Area Agreements, Individual Budgets and Tendering & Procurement and the events will take place at various locations including Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham. Training on a range of advice issues is co-ordinated by Manchester Advice on behalf of the MAIN.
