Local Implementation Team (includes Mental Health Provider Forum)

It was agreed at the meeting on 22 June 2006 that the Mental Health Provider Forum will merge with the newly launched Local Implementation Team (LIT).  The LIT is made up of organisations, mental health teams, service users, the carers forum and voluntary sector.  The advantages of this group are:

  • more formal input and involvement into current mental health issues as driven by National Service Framework standards.
  • more formal input and involvement in implementation of the Change in Mind  proposals.
  • the LIT will oversee the accommodation strategy from the Joint Commissioning Team 10 year Commissioning Strategy thus avoiding duplication.
  • the group will have a higher profile within the sector.

The LIT will be quarterly events. It is anticipated that future LITs will follow the  structure of the last event which was - business/presentations in the morning, LUNCH, then workshops/group work in the afternoon.
